About Rogue Horse Media

Hi, I'm Jess. 

I'm the photographer and creative behind Rogue Horse Media. I've been making art for as long as I can remember, but horses have a way of pulling me out from behind the work and right into the middle of it.  

I've been a Graphic Designer since completing Graphic Communications in High School, I studied Fine Arts at Marshall University, have more than 15 years experience in freelance and professional graphic design and marketing, and have spent years figuring out how to turn the things I love creating into work that matters to people. Along the way, I found myself spending more and more time at the barn, not just photographing the beautiful moments, but feeding horses, cleaning stalls, helping prepare for events, and getting to know the people whose lives revolve around them. I have two horses of my own, Whiskey and Diamond, so I know how much of a story lives outside the show ring, too.

That's where Rogue Horse Media grew from. I wanted to make photographs, videos, and designs that feel as real as the people and animals in them. I enjoy this industry and the people in it so much that I wanted to create work that helped celebrate it and them. I find no greater joy than helping a local business owner achieve their dreams and want to make it as easy for them as I can. 

I've spent years around hard working individuals and Appalachian entrepreneurs, and know that sometimes it takes a little more than hard work. Sometimes it takes sharing your story.
